Look for this story on Faux News this evening. NOT!
Two former CIA officers say the president squelched top-secret intelligence, and a briefing by George Tenet, months before invading Iraq.
"The policy was set. The war in Iraq was coming, and they were looking for intelligence to fit into the policy, to justify the policy."

Pretty much. Irony is that every reason we supposedly went into Iraq was true for Iran. Why didn't we invade them? Hmm?
I'm starting to believe the CFR is part of the whole NWO plot.

If Bush knew WMD would not be found in Iraq then why didn't he have the CIA plant WMD in Iraq to validate the war?
Why did he allow egg on his face?
I don't like Bush, but this talking point is getting ridiculous.

I don't think Bush knew one way or the other about Saddam's WMD's. The one thing I do know: Bush did not have any desire to know the truth of wheather Iraq really had WMD or not. The most salient feature of George Bush is his shocking lack of intellectual curiosity. But this in the norm for Americans now days. We don't need science and investigation, we have all the answers.

exactly... we don't need an investigation into WMD.. because we've already told ourselves there was.. and that we're right..
we went from 9/11 and having the entire world on our side and sympathy's.. to acting out in an uninformed "pitchfork and lantern.. string em up" way.. and managed to lose all credibility and respect from some of our closest allies... being the sole world superpower entails certain responsibilities.. not for the sake of others but for the sake of ourselves as well.. it does not entitle us in being the police of the world.. or the provider of democracy.
we're great because we are... we're not great because we can assert that we are even when we're wrong...to the rest of the world.. its a slap in the face of hypocracy.. and it will bite us in the A$$... if it hasn't already.. many of our allied nations are having elections soon.. and there is a lot of anti-american officials winning in the polls there.. what kind of world are we leaving to our kids? are we setting the stage for conflict or collaboration?

Why bother with fact when you are certain you know the one right way.
Hussein threatened George Senior and had to be punished. He also sold oil in Euros and had to be stopped. He was punished, stopped, captured and killed.
That should have been the end of the story but our military would have been embarrased by the insurgents and there has not been a government that will gaurentee the oil sales in dollars.
Until the gaurentee is in place we will remain in Iraq.

Take a look at the link you posted here: Salon.com - Breaking news, opinion, politics, entertainment, sports and culture./opinion/ You know what this means???
This is an editorial OPINION page from someone who has absolutely no idea what Bush knows and doesn't know, never even talked to Bush, and is bashing Bush with whatever rants in the article on some retarded book by an incompetent, CBill Clinton-appointed moron named Geroge Tenant.
That is why people want facts, NOT opinions. If we wanted crazy opinions, we'd call Charlie Sheen who thinks Bush had a remote control on the planes on 9/11.... you know some conspiracy...

WTF are you talking about? The article simply describes how two CIA officials came forth with information that Bush knew Saddam didn't have WMD, and shaped his policy on Iraq regardless. Doesn't exactly fall under a traditional "opinion piece". But whatever, right? And now hundreds of thausands of people are either dead or displaced or going to be killed. But that doesn't matter to you, Christian Conservatives, does it? Because, again... God is an American. Green light to kick some damn ass!
Remain in denial as much as wish. Not that it matters anymore of course, as far as Iraq - but the point of posting this is that the same pattern of behavior is becoming obvious in regards to Iran. Why can't you just come to the realization that Bush lies purposely to fufill his agenda? Moderator cut: personal insult

Right. There is no "war" because the terrorist attacks in U.S. embassies, the 1993 WTC bombing, the U.S.S. Cole attack and 9/11 never really happened, right?

I think berkshire was referring to the "war" in Iraq.
