I am not talking about "the Alaskan wilderness," I am referring to the city of Anchorage with a population of more than a quarter million people.

What about the three different cases in the past 6 months, where all women, used their gun for protection, and each saving their own life, plus one, her children, and her self. The other two, were elderly, you probbly heard the story.

Forgot what States these were each in. Not that long ago, bang bang bang, they each killed their perpetrators.

The Mom, did not hesitate to kill at least one of the guys coming into her home, there were three of them, do you remeber the story! The other two were caught.
Guns are saving peoples lives, these days more then ever, sad as it is, the gun is protection.

I too have never been attacked by a dog, but 1). my Pom-chi had 3 dogs (2 german shepherds and a black lab circling it in my back yard, 300 feet from the street on my property.), I grabbed him, ran inside, then went out the front door to confront the owners, and told them that they were within 5 seconds of having 3 dogs with no heads. 2). A pit bull that got away from the owner, and if I hadn't shoved my chihuahua down my jacket (even though it took a good chunk out of its leg, to the tune of $400 in vet bills, the pit bull would have been dead if I was carrying, which I now do any time I go for a walk. Personally, I value my toy dogs more than anyone else's dogs, and on the verge of valuing them more than the owner's life, if he intervened. Not in my yard, not on my property. Your dog has ZERO rights, and the owner better have really good lawyers.

They are currently sitting on death row. They were supposed to be executed Sept 2011, but I can't find anything that said they were. One of the ones murdered was my step-nephew.

You can even make a 120 pound Rottie jump into your lap, slurp you, and rest her head on my chest!

Likely so! You'll always get the same thing from mine, though it comes in different creative ways. No matter how tough you ARE .... you aren't bulletproof and need that firearm.

More than two can match or exceed all the anti posts in this thread. For every reason someone can say they are not needed, one of us can prove that you do need it. We're gun guys...that's what we DO! Have a good day Chuck!
