Should central govt have the power to ban circumcisions of infant boys?

I thought it would be illustrative to phrase the other thread's poll in a more appropriate way.

Absolutely not. It should be the parents decision.

I agree. The idea that government must control everything we do, is going WAY overboard.

BTW, the fact that some doctors say that there is "no medical benefits", means that they believe the risks (as with any surgery, even a minor one like this) outweigh the benefits (cleanliness).

Other doctors say the balance is the other way, the benefits outweigh the risks.

In any case it should be for the parents to decide. And if they believe that the baby should first grow up and take part in the decision, then they can decide THAT.

Did you deliberately exclude state governments? Or, is it included in the original premise of the thread?

Yes... it would help measure the level of sanity involved (or if it is missing) in the poll. But, your responses have confirmed my belief. This is another troll thread.
