Unfortunately outside influences dictate the price of oil NOT the Preident of the United States.
Whether Bush when Gas went over $4.00 a gallon or Obama now gas is heading over $4.00 a gallon have much control unless they use the massive reserves.
The only way out of the Oil dependency is moving away from oil based energy. That will take time but it is slowly happening with the Auto industry making a effort to develop new energy vehicles.
This "blame oil prices on the President" is just used as political ammo, nothing more it happens under administrations from both sides........ get real here.

Yah...
and it is still called discrimination...
this time against the whites.

If Obama is "bush" doing what he does, he would be impeached so many times over it is unbelievable.
So, why is Obama being let off the hook if treatment is supposed to be non-racist / non-discriminated = fair & equal treatment no????

I lay the blame on 0b0mba for the malaise that has swept over America.

I lay the blame on 0b0mba for our current unemployment rates.

I lay the blame on 0b0mba for America's poor image overseas.

I do not like the man, he is a liar and a thief.

The only reason that some people don't know about it is because he has an iron clad protection policy called the msm.

Where does the buck stop with 0b0mba? Nothing seems to be his fault.

Obama blamed Bush for high gas prices 4 years ago so why isn't he taking the blame now? He's a failure but? - Yahoo! Answers
That is why I called it childish bickering.

0b0mba is getting a pass.

All of a sudden, the president has no control over gasoline prices.

Why the change?

It couldn't be the intellectual dishonesty of the left, could it?

RightChange: Obama’s Spokesman: No Magic Solution for Gas Prices

Tue, February 21, 2012
If you’ve been to the gas station in the past 48 hours, you are probably pretty upset. Gas prices are soaring and they are here to stay. Many economists are predicting $5/gallon gas by the summer. The most maddening thing besides paying almost $4 per gallon for gas is knowing there is no good reason why you should have to pay that much. The United States has the largest energy resources in the world. In fact, there is enough oil to maintain America’s current rate of production and replace imports from the Persian Gulf for more than 50 years. We also have enough coal reserves to last a couple centuries. The Obama administration has made a conscious effort not to tap into it. Even worse? They want you to believe there is nothing they can do about it.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said there are “no magic solutions to rising oil prices and the pain that Americans feel at the pump.â€
There really is not a whole lot a president can do about gas prices, except to ensure his administration is do all it can to ensure our country's current and future production of oil can provide enough.

Bush could have pushed harder on opening up new oil reserves, and Obama has been doing all he can to reduce current and future oil production.

Obama is lucky to be riding on the coat tails of the efforts from every former administration, to provide us with enough oil. Future production of fossil fuels will be severely lessened due to Obama's anti-fossil fuel policies, and why not, the head of the energy department, interior department and EPA all hate fossil fuels, and are doing all they can to slow or halt production.

I think it is far better to live a deluded existence like not seeing the unemployment for what it is and pretending the economy is surging ahead, pretending, like in another post that the $6 a gallon gas in Florida does not exist because it is around Disneyworld..therefore it isnt real. You are pumping gas at the Imagination Station so just chill and enjoy the ride.

Yeah, oil should never go up in price because it's a renewable resource and global demand is level....sweet jesus.....
FYI, demand for oil has been down in the US lately.
