Bush/Cheney were blasted by the dems and the msm when gas prices skyrocketed.

0b0mba is getting a pass.

All of a sudden, the president has no control over gasoline prices.

Why the change?

It couldn't be the intellectual dishonesty of the left, could it?

RightChange: Obama’s Spokesman: No Magic Solution for Gas Prices

Tue, February 21, 2012
If you’ve been to the gas station in the past 48 hours, you are probably pretty upset. Gas prices are soaring and they are here to stay. Many economists are predicting $5/gallon gas by the summer. The most maddening thing besides paying almost $4 per gallon for gas is knowing there is no good reason why you should have to pay that much. The United States has the largest energy resources in the world. In fact, there is enough oil to maintain America’s current rate of production and replace imports from the Persian Gulf for more than 50 years. We also have enough coal reserves to last a couple centuries. The Obama administration has made a conscious effort not to tap into it. Even worse? They want you to believe there is nothing they can do about it.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said there are “no magic solutions to rising oil prices and the pain that Americans feel at the pump.”

I think that Obama's energy policies have affected the price of gasoline far more than Bush's ever did. Add in the cost of all the failed green energy companies the government has given money to and it makes for disaster.

I am sure the Liberal Sucktards will disagree but considering that the invent pretty much everything, I will not be surprised. The only interesting thing out of all of this will be to see how the Idiot-In-Chief spins it or blames Bush for it.

Don't worry, republicans/conservatives will hit him for it and the media will attempt to protect him, but people paying $4-5/gal will be angry regardless.

Let's remember what candidate obama said in 2008;

Obama Called High Gas Prices A Crisis in 2008; Now They're Called Progress - Investors.com

Quote:
"Progress" isn't exactly how Obama described the country's energy picture in 2008, when gas prices were closing in on $4 a gallon.

Then, it was a clear sign of "Washington's failure to lead on energy," which was "turning the middle-class squeeze into a devastating vise-grip for millions of Americans."

In August that year, he declared rising energy costs to be "one of the most dangerous and urgent threats this nation has ever faced" and that gas prices "are wiping out paychecks and straining businesses."
Gas prices are up 93% since obama took office.

Yes, I am hoping people do something at the polls as well as we know the MSM will do their typical drive-by and report nothing on this. I hope these words come back to bite him along with the raising of the debt ceiling and countless other hypocritical left wing fool quotes he has made. I think people should be far more angry at the irresponsible waste of taxpayer dollars that this administration has done. Of course, some liberal puke will come out and say "What about the wars?" when we have wasted money on the stimulus that stimulated nothing. We have spent more on education that the wars and test scores have gone down.

Think of the revenue that could be generated by taking advantage of the off-shore leases that we hold, but this President has no desire to do that. He would rather tax people more which he himself admitted is bad for the economy (see hypocritical left wing fool quotes comment above). We could have a robust energy policy here in the US that removes us from foreign dependence on oil and creates a ton of new jobs but this administration is so deep into the pockets of Big Oil and failed energy policies, it is amazing.

So, you're saying that those accusing Bush/Cheney of higher prices were right? Because that is the stance you've taken now.

Newtsie stated,

" When I was Speaker of the House for four years gas was $1.13 a gallon."

So Newtsie thinks the Speaker of the House controls the gas prices......maybe the Repug's Boner better get his gass in gear and lower the prices...

RIGHT? Righties????

Quit blaming Bush he hasn't been in office for 4 years .The current/past gas prices are on Obama's shoulders .Bush has nothing to do with the current political situation that has come up with Iran and other issues. .

The question for you... were you among those who blamed the President in 2008 as you're doing now?

The president, Repug or Democrat does NOT control the price of gas.
,
It is very "naive" to think otherwise.

YES, Bush has LOTS to do with the situation in Iran....sorry, but the trouble in the Middle East did NOT start the second Obama took office and it's "naive" to think otherwise.

BUSH was told by many people , including his REPUBLICAN Daddy, that invading Iraq would open up a whole big long term mess....and it did.

It is extremely "naive' to think that the rest of the world changes magically with the changing of our presidents....

C'mon - the president is OK w/ high gas prices. Energy Secretary Steven Chu is OK w/ high gas prices. They have said so.

You have a problem w/ blame - OK - but they are not trying to lower the prices either.

What's your theory on the rising of gas prices?
