It's unfortunate that at this late date, people don't know that Iraq did have WMD. Deployed against the Iranians, the Kurds, and unsuccessfuly against the Shiites. Don't you people watch PBS?
Chemical weapons are not weapons of mass destruction. They aren't long range. Iraq could have killed the same amount of people with conventional arms. Besides, we didn't even find chemical weapons during the invasion/occupation. We found nothing.
They'll be found in Syria one day...thank clinton and kofi for that.

Sure they will. If my country was about to be overrun by the world's remaining superpower, I'd be sure to send my most powerful weapons somewhere else. It only makes sense.
Of course, if you're pushing the entire "the WMD were moved" line, you're also calling the war a complete strategic failure. Securing the so-called WMD was a prime objective, remember? If they were allowed to slip into Syria, somebody should have been fired.

I'm surprised at the lack of knowledge. Iraq used WMD against both the Iranians and Kurds. He tried against the Shiites but there was an ignition failure. Even Saddam's own generals believed that he had a stash of WMD up until the invasion of 2003, as confirmed by the CIA. Saddam pursued a strategy of 'deterrence by doubt' up to the end, intended to intimidate the Iranians. He confirmed this in interviews with the CIA after his capture.
I'm suprised that people haven't gotten the word in 2012. I suppose magical thinking dies hard.

Please, give it up.
It's over. None found. Case closed. Why are you guys still clinging on to hope that they were not only there, but they'll magically reappear someday and will exonerate Bush. We went to war on faulty intel, and we need to face up to it. We screwed the damn pooch.
To be honest, I don't believe for a minute that Iran is within 10 years of having a nuclear weapon.
We should just keep in line with the UN and keep out of the fray on this one.
I suggest you read up on what the IAEA says about Iran if you want to "keep in line" with the UN.
You America hating Iran lovers would be screaming Iran doesn't have a nuke as one comes down and hits you on the head. Bush's fault is all that would come out of your mouths as you go splat.

The cut and runner has declared it over so it must be so.

I find it funny that the same people who believe the gubiment when they tell them that Iran has nukes or Iraq had WMD's are the same idots that believe in FEMA, camps and multiple Black helicopter conspiracy theories.

I think the idea is that they have the ability to do it. The large numbers of centrifuges they have for enriching uranium is real. That's what STUXNET attacked. They have the ability--but reality is different. Us peons don't have access to classified military intelligence--so, we're kind of clueless.
But, I'm with Desertdetroiter on this one. If Iran has nukes--so be it. Iran isn't even a military threat. There are dozens of people who have power and control there that aren't Ahmadinejad, and that's who people keep focusingo on for some strange reason. The man is a celebrity figure, and that about covers it.
Imagine if Iran was watching Scott Walker thinking he had some kind of military political influence over Washington. That's about the world's fascination with Ahmadinejad.
Israel needs to solve their own problems. In fact, that entire ****ing part of the country needs to solve their own religious problems--everything there deals with religious nutjobbery.
Imagine a world without religion. We'd be so much better off. But until we brain-up, we're stuck with those lunatics.
