It's called foreign aid.

And the people there are no better off and never see a penny of it. And we just keep sending them the checks.

Thank you, for knowing the truth. And their people are definitely no better off, and how true, they never ever see a penny of that money.

How do you make someone a dictator? Corruption seems to already be a part of some people's psychological makeup.

Giving them money whether it came through Cold War alliances or aid/loans ment for development has helped to empower these corrupt leaders who were both western and eastern(communist)supported.

^

I'am not a sociologist but I don't think giving them money alone is what makes them turn into brutal and repressive leaders. They already have head issues before getting the money.

Given that you noted that the XL pipeline was the cause of high oil prices you probably shouldn't be posting here. The pipeline wouldn't be built by now if approved and it was pointless for you to suggest that it was the cause. You clearly have no understanding of issues of domestic politics. Why should anyone listen to your opinions on money laundering?

Valid point. I think the distinction is between the "little" dictator and the "Big" one.

Same is true of "sociopaths". Make em a CEO/Politician or treat them for a mental disorder.

Looks like this is a big problem for India also.

India is the cradle of corruption.

The wealthiest nation on the planet centuries ago, was squandered.

They had the most gold, jewels, rare minerals, spices, dyes and fabrics.

Greed and power mongering has made them a nation of paupers and slaves.

Concentrated wealth and power is never good for the people. It always leads to poverty, war, and suffering.

Where do you think all the food aid we give to Africa goes? Right into a big warehouse where the dictator in charge runs the shop and forces the farmers out of business thus making the people reliant on them. Been that way for years.
