At the very least States should be passing laws to make individuals in charge of rather or not their property gets a historic designation. Many times if 5% of the population in a proposed HD are against it, they still will be included in the HD. This does not happen in Arizona as everyone has to agree to a proposed HD or the property owners not in favor will be left off.
So tell me, your house was built in the 30s, correct?
What style is the house built in?
What materials and methods were used in construction?
How much of the house is still original material?

Do you have any idea how many houses are left in your area in that particular style, and built with those materials?

Yes..thousands. This house is the way that I want it. The things that are preserved are that way because that is the way I as the property owner want it and not some board. Do you have a point?

Actually, yes, I have a very valid point, and I was prepared to divulge it.
Until I read your last sentence.
You seem to be determined to wallow in ignorance, whatever.

I seriously doubt it. My advice would be for you to worry a little more about your own property and a little less about property that does not belong to you.

When you post some sage advice, I'll take it under advisement.
All you're doing is whining, if I want to hear that, I can step out of my office and listen to teenagers, which you are reminding me of at this point.
Have you gotten the last word in yet?
I await your reply with bated breath.

I offer common sense. If you wish to look at who is really whining on here please look over your posts.
