This must be a mistaken report. There is a law that makes bringing a gun to this school illegal. And I'm sure that anybody considering committing mass murder, wouldn't dare break such a law. So nobody could have done it.

These laws work. Why else would the government keep making more and more of them?

Suspect in custody after 1 student killed, 4 wounded in shooting at Ohio high school

Published February 27, 2012

URGENT: One student was killed and five were wounded during a shooting early Monday at an Ohio high school, authorities said. A suspect, whose name has not been released, is in police custody.

Civil deputy Erin Knife with the Geauga County Sheriff's Office said the shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday at Chardon High School.

The suspected gunman, believed to be a student, fled the school on foot and was later apprehended after turning himself in. Authorities have not released the juvenile's name because he has not been charged yet.

Law enforcement officials said earlier that three of the shooting victims are in critical condition, while one victim is in stable condition. The victims have not yet been identified.

The situation is under control and an FBI SWAT team is on the scene, police said.

A parent waiting outside the school told the station that her daughter sent her a text message, saying the shooting took place inside the cafeteria.

Here come the Liberal Utopian Bully Preventers™. I'm sure they have a law already written and ready for the OH legislature to rubber stamp in common knee jerk fashion.

These things happen regardless of any gun laws. Unless a school is like a prison with metal detectors etc.

If people are willing to exploit the death of a child to push an agenda , why wouldn't people be willing to break a law?

sad, isnt it.

Note the Ops "these laws work" comment, as if laws control all human behavior.

Fox news of course. A + B always equals C...their view, and their view only is the "correct" one.

I think most people would agree that it's too soon and there better examples to use to make a case for 2nd amendment rights. Politicizing this borders on sleazy and doesn't help the cause.

Well this thread is in the POLITICS forum.

It is a horrible tragedy and someone just lost their child, well actually two children if you include the shooter.

However EVERYONE knows this incident will be used to call for new or tighter restrictions on our 2nd amendment rights.

AND EVERYONE knows most Gun laws protect NO ONE.
