You come to expect this from a certain "element" in the GOP, but the Chief Justice of a federal court

Chief U.S. District Judge sends racially charged email about president | Great Falls Tribune | greatfallstribune.com

The "joke" implies that, since the president's deceased mother stooped so low as to have sex with black man, she may also have had sex with a dog. Yes, it is like that

Furthermore the judge, a W appointee, include a sarcastic comment with the forwarded joke, saying it "touched his heart"

While issuing his apology, he said, "I'm not a racist- I just don't like the president"

A federal judge, people... Hopefully, he's in the process of either resigning, or being removed

"A little boy said to his mother; 'Mommy, how come I'm black and you're white?'" the email joke reads. "His mother replied, 'Don't even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you're lucky you don't bark!'"
tasteless, yes.

many jokes were made about slick willy during bill clinton presidency, but a comment about obama is seen as a sacrilege .
we have a debt driven economy. w/o deficit spending the job market would collapse. this is nothing like bill clinton economy. why all the respect for obama?

Racial "jokes" of this nature have been sacrosanct for quite some time however that being said, citizens are entitled to make any joke that they like, the issue hear has been and is now not the joke as opposed to who is fomenting them or at the very least tacitly approving of them.

For a Federal judge to make such "jokes" who may be called upon to rule in a case that hinges upon the race of either the defendant or the plaintive, these remarks calls into question their judicial temperament, biases and ability to render an impartial judgement in such cases. I think that is an issue warranting grave concern.

Humans and dogs are not even in the same family or order, much less species.

So, people aren't allowed to have senses of humor anymore? It may be tasteless, but it's far from doing anything wrong or illegal.

So you got the bestiality angle... Do I really have to explain the racist angle

How about the fact the "joke" was forwarded by a federal judge? On his official email account? Does that bother you at all?
