Ok. So I guess you're just admitting you just "don't understand."

Just as the ACLU defending RUSH LIMBAUGH doesn't mean they subscribe to THAT blowhard's ideas, drug use, or obesity.

its not surprising there are freaks everywhere, we all are living in the last days and demons are rising up from hell possessing people by unbelievable numbers. I am not excusing what they do by any means, but if they had a close relationship with god then there would not be any room for all this sin. Law enforcement will tell you child predators come in all walks of life.

Watch out !!!!!!!!!!

The ACLU may quite often be involved in the business of debunking the free speech of those who speak bunk, but not in any effort to prevent bunk from being spoken.

1. Rejecting speech is not the same as silencing speech. Sentient enough for you?

2. The ACLU does not debunk those with whom it disagrees. Rather, it attempts to silence them.

Is a pattern beginning to emerge for you here?

If it is foul, decadent, disgusting, deviant or repulsive they jump right up to defend it. Absolutely sickening. Honor, integrety or any sense of decency is to be scoffed at.

So you think that the 1st amendment's freedom of speech protections should be repealed? They give people 'too much freedom?'

The worst that society has to offer should not be defended or coddled. That's the difference between the civilized and the uncivilized that still compare themselves to the actions of animals.

It is the ACLU that should be done away with, not the 1st amendment.

perhaps the ACLU doesn't need to be done away with... it just needs to change some of its focus... a good thing can be ruined by one person.. or a few.. just like how I make fun of religious groups who's clergy molest kids.. just because someone does something doesn't make the whole organization bad.. people still get good things from their church and belief system.. The issue is.. the ACLU needs to be open and honest and look into itself.. just like how I would have more respect for a religious institution if they would admit their faults.. and apologize... but it seems people don't or can't understand that concept.. and so.. they end up looking bad.. by the acts of one or a few... because they defend them... Forgiveness by the public is really pretty easy... it just takes being humble and admitting when you f'd up..
The ACLU was founded on good principles.. just like many other organizations.. just be open to analyzing yourself when you are analyzing others as well...

Kind of like the Democratic and Republican parties.

Power corrupts.

so.. if you don't agree with SOME current aspects.. does that warrant the demise of it alltogether? I think they are acting on good principles, but just as anything else.. it is easy to get sidetracked and make mistakes... owning up to your mistakes does not discredit your existance and inherant good..
that would be like someone saying... well catholic priests touch little boys.. lets throw down the catholic church.... they've done horrible things over the years.. and though I don't agree with much of what they do... some people get a good thing out of it.. and it should be allowed to exist and express its beliefs...
