Are these the type of Libertarians that are anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage?

Americans have been, for a long time, center right people. They want as little government intervention into their private lives as is possible.

Most people like social safety nets, as those aren't seen as intrusion into private lives, but when behavior is linked to those safety nets, then people get their dander up.

Keep the country safe, make sure if people are working they are feed, clothed, housed, and taken care of when sick, and leave the rest of it the hell alone.

Thats the general American publics ideal political position.

STATE GOVERNMENT. Not Federal government. That is what the 10th amendment is for. Gives states their rights.

Exactly, I always thought Ron Paul was a Libertarian until this election, he's just one more loon
