Lets say this country had a President that wasn't born in this country and was therefore illegitimate, would you want to know about it? Even if this man was a President you loved and totally backed on policy issues, would you care if evidence came forth that he was illegitimate according to the constitution? Would it bother you if a man born outside of this country, with foreign loyalties, was President?
If someone wasn't born in the states they wouldn't be prez. I believe that anyone that would attempt to become prez would be vetted. Why do you birfers think that someone, ANYONE, in the government acting an OFFICIAL capacity wouldn't detect this amazing ruse???? Wake up.

Since we're dealing with "hypothetical questions":
Would you be concerned if there were a group of people so deluded by their latent racism, that despite all proof to the contrary, would continue to perpetuate the idea that the president was not born in the U.S.? And then perpetuate the idea that even if he were born in the U.S. (which he was), he couldn't be President since his father was an immigrant?
Would it bother you these people continue to rehash the same failed and dis-proven theories over and over and over and over again, in a quixotic attempt to remove a legal candidate that won a legal election with the support of the majority of American voters?
because i made the assumption that the OP wasn't living in isolation devoid of contact with the outside world.
