It's a sad commentary on America today.

One WWII Vet, one Korean War vet and a Vietnam vet.

Three people argued that the Constitution is too old to care about.

And we wonder why we are in trouble.

For those people not to care, where do we start. You just posted something most concerning. Guess, the first time I heard that President Bush called it a G*d D*mn piece of paper I was shocked and now I see he has plenty of company.

Where are we going...............

The point is, THAT is probably as simple as it gets for a question about the constitution.

More, no, ALL American citizens should know the basic premise of the constitution.

I was called a radical because I mentioned the enumerated powers!

Unless you are actively and regularly talking about the constitution it's not uncommon to have to look up info or being wrong on a pop quiz when you enter someones house.

i don't really see why 16 random people at a gathering need to know how many amendments there are on a whim. now, if they couldn't speak intelligently about what's in the constitution, then I'd care.

Remind me to never accept an invite to your house. Sounds like a snore fest.
