Make no mistake: Patrick J. Buchanan's "culture wars" speech at the 1992 GOP convention is unsurpassed in its prescience, boldness, and rhetorical flair. Not only is it relevant today, but it is more relevant than ever before.

Though I don't agree with Pat Buchanan about everything, this speech was a great gift to all Americans.

Enjoy!

that speech was a disgrace and these culture wars have ruined the GOP. The GOP was once the party of LESS government intrusion, not more. Pat Buchanan is well known anti-semite and anti-immigrant RACIST. Even though Reagan was a great President who stood up to USSR, restored American pride, etc. he unfortunately opened the door to these religious right wackos

You've got your head in the sand. The culture war is real, and it's heating up by the hour. The left wants you to forget about it and the GOP to change the subject.

Ron Paul could only get my vote if he picked Pat Buchanan as his running mate.

This speech is "great" like Hitler's speeches, they influenced a lot of WesternPilgrim-style brain dead psychopaths to be aroused to hate. Pathetic that creepy little closet Nazis are still digging this up.
