If taxpayers are going to foot the bill in either case, which would you rather pay for?

Paying for someone's contraceptive medications for 18 (or more) years IS welfare.

Contraception.
One, it most likely will cost less, maybe, hope so.
Two, the planet is over populated, we don't need any more unwanted births.

I argue that it isn't an either/or question, but still support contraception for women not ready to become mothers. Frankly, with the over-population for the planet's sustainability, I think it should be mandatory. We don't need one extra person.

hostage situation!

pay me or I'll reproduce more of me! and then you'll really pay!

Heaven forbid we ask people to act responsibly in caring for themselves and the potential children they might bring into the world.

We are already paying for contraception via Planned Parenthood and Medicaid.

There is no viable issue regarding the use of contraception. Most people practice it. Even in Islamic countries, whose culture supports divorce when one partner is infertile, contraception is acceptable. The issue is whether churches whose tenets do not allow contraception and/or abortion should be mandated to cover the expense of it for their employees......but somehow that translates into a phony "Right Wing war on women". The Catholic Church is almost as liberal as any church gets, except on this one issue.

It's called The Big Picture and In the Grand Scheme of Things. What in the hell is so hard to grasp about that?

Contraception....and it's a no brainer for anyone with an I.Q. above 2.
