Frank's maiden name of Wedepohl was misspelled by the physician who attended her home birth. To get the birth certificate amended, she could petition the court, a process that could take several weeks and cost at least $200, the newspaper said.
By the power of literacy!

according to the newspaper, a record of Frank's birth does exist with the state register of deeds in Madison. She could get a birth certificate for a fee, $20. But Frank said that fee amounted to a poll tax.

Well stated. I, too, blame Congress as they are derelict in their oversight duty to keep a president in line.

Obama has no regard for the Constitution. Then, again, neither do the subversives that hang out in this forum.

How does the GOP "look out for certain groups and not minorities"? How do you establish that claim?

Oh..so when Whites become minorities the Dems turn their nose ?
The Dems are only for minorities when their skin color is the right one ?

Gee..who's being racist here ?
Whites are still the majoritiy overall in this country. Regardless of going state by state, in the bigger picture white people are still the majority. Democrats are for minorities and GOP is for white people. I'm still trying to understand why the GOP can't work harder and go after more of the white vote.

Why does this law benefit the GOP? Because illegals vote for Dems?

I estalish it by the fact that democrats normally get over 85% and closer to 90% of the minority vote. There is a reason behind that. GOP doesn't seem to care for minorities in their party.

That is odd, the voter ID law seems to be focused on keeping voter fraud down by requiring people be able to properly identify themselves as legal voters.

As for minority, as was pointed out to you, whites are a minority in Texas.

because it suppresses the minority vote preventing obama from getting the votes that he needs in order to have a chance at winning the election.

A poll tax is a Republican Party dream they have been working on for at least a decade. Controlling voter eligibility with false accusations cost John Kerry Florida but has never been properly investigated by either Florida or Federal agencies. That voter fraud was the best investment the Republican ever made because it made their backers billions in unjustifiable war profiteering.

Don't let this happen again.
