How does saying that mean it's voter supression? Both parties have goals they want to meet according to their ideology. Republicans think it will benefit them if pandered to illegals are kept from voting.

Do you think you should be a citizen to vote in the US election process?

It is so obvious voter suppression it's disgusting. The Repubs are doing everything in their power with a solution to a problem that doesn't exist, wasting millions of dollars on investigations that only prove the nonexistence of wide-spread voter fraud but proves there isn't any to speak of. Forcing legally eligible voters who don't have a photo ID nor the means to get around to gain access to all the documents required to get one all in the name of politics

At least they are now admitting it is all about politics and not a thing about protecting the constitution for the people in this country.

If Democrats really believe this is voter supression it might be a good idea to help these people get IDs before the election. Dems say they are for the little guy so why not physically show them by actually doing something helpful for them instead of just paying lip service and pandering?

The only time the dems give a crap about the elderly is election time. Otherwise they are just old people that cheated us out of our social security.

^^^
And the only time Republicans give a crap about babies is before they are born...

How about not putting uneccessary roadblocks to the most fundamental aspect of our constitution? A political party that desperately wants fewer eligible people voting obviously has some fundamental problems much greater than voter suppression.

The PA law was passed at the beginning of March, can you give me nay legitimate reason why someone should not be able to obtain a free ID in 8 months if you do not have valid ID including the following?

Quote:

Preparing for Election Day

All photo IDs must contain an expiration date that is current, unless noted otherwise. Acceptable IDs include:
  • Photo IDs issued by the U.S. Federal Government or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
    • Pennsylvania driver’s license or non-driver’s license photo ID (IDs are valid for voting purposes 12 months past expiration date)
    • Valid U.S. passport
    • U.S. military ID - active duty and retired military (a military or veteran’s ID must designate an expiration date or designate that the expiration date is indefinite). Military dependents’ ID must contain an expiration date
  • Employee photo ID issued by Federal, PA, County or Municipal government
  • Photo ID cards from an accredited Pennsylvania public or private institution of higher learning
  • Photo ID cards issued by a Pennsylvania care facility, including long-term care facilities, assisted living residences or personal care homes

In the April primary they asked for ID, it wasn't required to vote. This was a measure to make people aware of the law but you'd have to live under rock if you weren't aware of it then. In the November election even at that point if you still do not have ID you will be able to take a provisional ballot.

The integrity of voting system is essential. In Florida one hundred people have been purged from the voter lists where it was absolutely confirmed they were registered illegally and half of them voted. That may seem like a small number but 50 of them is from one county alone that was very aggressive in purging lists. Those types of numbers could easily have swayed a presidential election.

By November, most of the disenfranchised voters should have IDs anyway. You don't have to be a citizen to get a drivers license, just in the country legally.

The private sector should not be paying to provide IDs that should be available for free,

Wrong, you have to present a copy of your U.S. birth certificate to get a drivers license, if you don't have it with you, you have to pay to get a copy and that's not free.

Why aren't these fraudulent voters being prosecuted?
