This is the guy who puts the words (lies) in Obama's mouth, he is something to watch. And Bob Schieffer just lets him roll on and on. My favorite was him blaming the Keystone Pipeline on the GOP -

When Schieffer asked about the president's decision to halt the construction of the XL Keystone pipeline from the Tar Sands in Canada to refineries in the Gulf Coast and whether he thought it was a mistake, Axelrod blamed the Republicans in Congress for playing politics. He pointed to the House GOP's passing a measure that would have forced the president to speed up approval of the pipeline.

"What they did was force a premature decision on this," Axelrod said. "The State Department said they needed more time to evaluate the project and all of its implications" for the land and the environment, such as water aquifers in Nebraska.

Scheiffer didn't bother to point out the pipeline had already been approved...by the State Department.

Get ready folks, these are the kind of bald-faced lies we are going to hear from the Democrats and libs for the next seven months or so.

When did the State Department approve the route they want to take now? Oh that's right, never.

It should be rejected. The environmental impacts far outweigh any benefit the US would see with its construction. Remember, the goal of this pipeline is not to provide America with oil (and this wouldn't even be oil in the conventional sense, it would be tar sands bitumen) but to take it from Canada and then export it to Asia.

Do you know that the Canadians will build their own pipeline to the west to get that horrible black stuff to the coast for China? Well now that is one outstanding thing to force our best ally to have to do to get their commodity to market.

Do you have any idea about how many oil pipelines now cross the Ogallala Aquifer? More than one, I can guarantee you.

So what if Canada builds it. If they are willing to take the environmental risks that is their choice. The pipeline will send bitumen to China whether it is built in the US or Canada. I am not sure what your point is here?

Hell last I remember the darling of the windmill club T Boone Pickens was trying to steal all that water and pump it to Texas and make a pile of money from that aquifier. He's onto nat gas now though as he couldn't get his lib buddies to pay for all the transmission lines for his windmills. Looks like there will be more fed money coming his way for nat gas than windmills in the future. That is all he cares about. Gotta keep that football program at Ok State rolling along.

We have over 50,000 miles of pipeline existing in the United States.

Obama doesn't want people back to work. He wants you at home - the government will take care of you and make all decisions for you!! Welcome to hope & change a transformed american which now meets 90% of Karl Marx agenda!!!

Kiss the USA goodbye if this monster steals the election (again).

First, the number of jobs is negligible and they're temporary, while the risk is forever.

If the Canadians wanted it so badly, they could have run it through Canada but they assessed the environmental risk too great.

Second, is that the right-wing talking point of the week, Obama stole the 2008 election and is going to steal the 2012 election? Where do you people dream this stuff up? Nobody every claimed, even John McCain and Sarah Palin, that 2008 was stolen. The far right can't even accept that Obama won fair-and-square by a wide margin.

If there are any concern over stealing elections in 2012, it's the GOP we fear, who are in the process of disfranchising millions of legitimate voters.
