Not to mention latex allergies.

To me, this epitomizes what is wrong with the Republican party and what it needs to do if it's to survive. Just like Santorum can't stay on message and drifts off into rants against homosexuals, Muslims and pushing Christianity as the state religion, the Republican party needs to focus on better government, economic issuess, and restoring America's position in the world, and stop trying to legislate personal morality to draw in the Independants, swing voters, and blue Democrats to become the dominate party again.

Sadly, Christian extremists and Muslim extremists really are not as far apart as they used to be.

No you can thank dopes that have zero critical thinking skills.

My Inlaws case was a rare circumstance and you don't know you are at risk until you research what went wrong. In their case they had a healthy baby and no reason to think there would be an issue.

Also beware of negative consequences. You may see an increase in testing and conservative approach at 19 weeks instead of giving it more time to see development

Remember when the OWS crowd was running around taking sh*ts on cars and trashing the place?...with hundreds of arrest and even a reported case of rape?...That even with the mountain of videos, audios, interviews, and pictures and other evidence depicting various acts of idiocy and filth didn't matter because you couldn't generalize the whole OWS crowd with the actions of a few...really, all that evidence were just "isolated" occurrences...

and now here we have a few crazy right wingers and the left can't wait to generalize the entire GOP and the right with these few lunatics....liberals and their hypocrisy.

now the left seem to think they have no extremist on their side....please, you people are crawling with wackos...I mean just look up the stuff the OWS people did.....at least when large right wingers get together, (Tea Party) , the cops don't have to work over-time making arrests....so yeah , maybe you people should worry about your own crazies....

too be honest the left or the right doesn't look too sane.....so thinking that "independents" or "moderates" or whatever is going to flock to your side because the other side is "crazy"?...well, both sides are crazy.

the right doesn't want women to carry stillborns or hate women...thinking otherwise makes you an idiot.

Technically, removal of a retained dead fetus would be called a 'therapeutic abortion' (as opposed to 'elective' or 'spontaneous'). Not all IUFD's (intrauterine fetal deaths) progress to delivery on their own, which is why medical intervention is often necessary.

Yes, they normally do. I've yet to come across an IUFD case where the obstetrician recommended a 2-week postponement before intervening.

The risks to the mother -- DIC, chorioamnionitis, sepsis -- are very real.

IF this bill truly makes no exception for IUFD (and after reading it, I must admit to not being entirely certain), it is beyond the pale.

They're doing it because they simply think they can, and that they should.
  • appealing to the many zealots/evangelicals...many of whom believe that women must be subservient to men, and in so doing, be ever-ready to deliver more progeny
  • women in the workplace (by and large, women who have control of their fertility) are a threat to their earning potential and 'rightful place' in society...what better way to reduce our presence in colleges and the workforce than to keep us barefoot and pregnant, tied to too many children, and stripped of basic human rights?
IMO the 'end game' they have in mind has everything to do with eliminating any sense of control women currently have in their own lives. Anyone who thinks it will end with reproductive legislation has blinders on. Bills relating to violence against women (wanting to weaken the laws protecting us), wanting to redefine rape...I read about these things and my stomach turns in knots.

They'll shame us, silence us, weaken us, whatever it takes to make them feel they have total control and power over us.

You know, exactly what any other patriarchal bully would do.

The OWS are NOT legislators introducing and PASSING bills aimed at restricting women's rights....

GIANT difference...

There's a massive amount of anti-women bills, about 1,100 . But even if there's only one, it's wrong....thinking otherwise makes a person an idiot.

Maybe, just maybe I'll stop calling all Republicans misogynist creeps with sexual identity problems and no sex life
IF just ONE would denounce these anti-women bills and speech by their fellow party members....but they don't, NONE do....so I will assume they are all creeps...

Well then, where is the outcry from the right? Where are the conservative women's groups denouncing these bills? If the majority of the GOP does not agree with all of these bills, how would we know that when they are completely silent?
