* it's unclear from the article if the week in question is "missing" or "unreadable" and how much of it. corsi only published a partial copy. what both corsi and the national archives seem to agree with is that the obscuring occurred when the microfilm was originally made ( presumably 1961 or shortly after ). if someone had the grand foresight and access 50 years ago to obscure a passenger list then why wouldn't they have simply slipped in a doctored list instead?

* as stated before, if the belief is a kenyan birth then honolulu would not have been the port of entry.

* throughout the article corsi refers to "MCSO investigators". the CCP is a private civilian organization and is not a part of MCSO. they work in cooperation with the sheriff's office but have zero legal authority or responsibility. add to that the fact that corsi isn't even an official member of the CCP.

the CCP claim is that it's a modified 2008 stamp with the "08" inverted to read "80". the problem with that is the stamp reads "USPO". 2008 stamps read "USPS".

in 1970 the post office switched from "USPO" to "USPS" but many of the "USPO" pica stamps continued to be used well into the 1980's. the missing "19" can be explained by nothing more than mundane wear and tear on a 10+ year old pica stamp.
