From the link:A lot of huffing and puffing but no real substance...typical of RWNJ rallies.
Note that it's "thousands" not "tens of thousands." Hyperbole is also typical of RWNJs...
I work in the same building with Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy's district office. Perhaps 40-50 people showed up. Granted Nassau County is far from a hotbed of in your face social conservatism, but that is why this isn't getting much coverage. People didn't show up.
But that is not how it started off written in the bill.
I even think that should have stood considering it wasn't churches themselves, but things like hospitals affiliated with a Church. For example I don't think a nurse should be denied the coverage because she happens to work for a Hospital that is affiliated with the Church, especially considering Religious Affiliated Hospitals do receive government funding.
However, that is a whole separate discussion. Fact of the matter is the the original bill was changed.
Tens of thousands decry HHS mandate in nationwide protests
For those who are opposed to the health care reform legislation, I say let them be exempt. Don't allow their children to stay on their family medical plans until 26. Don't allow them to be covered for pre-existing conditions when they change health plans. Don't allow them free annual wellness exams and testing. Charge them full-price for everything they'll need. And if they don't have insurance, let them die outside the door to the hospital. Give them that freedom of choice.
And forced abortion for progressives/liberals. Don't need their offspring mistakes messing up their young girls futures.
There were maybe 50 people, tops, downtown in NYC today. "Thousands", indeed. I like how they reported there were 1000 people there, nice inflation of numbers. That is why you're not seeing coverage.

Sorry, nope. In fact, there are more people down there for OWS, which is not "my" march.
