If you HAD to choose to support either, which would you support?

For me, it's Republican. Although I agree with the Democrats on many issues, and voting for them is to vote in my interests (since I'm a recently-impoverished cancer patient who currently benefits from government programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, and Energy Assistance), I can not in conscience support most of the politicians they put forth, since I am against abortion. That's an absolute non-negotiable. Likewise, I also tend to agree with the Republican line of thought on other social issues, e.g. same-sex marriage, euthanasia, etc.

If someone put a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger if I didn't pick a side, I think I'd go Dem just because the current GOP is pretty much antithetical to my stances on most social issues. Neither party is particularly endearing to me in terms of economics.

Republican - because the Democrats would actually do this - and pull the trigger if you didn't say Democrat.

If I had to, it would be Republican.

I'm a registered Independent,
so I couldn't vote for Mitt today.
Rats, I've been disenfranchised.

Somalia is only utopia to tea partiers. No taxes, no government regulations.

Sudan/Somalia are all about small government, no business regulation, no social programs, and every man for himself -- a Republican paradise!

Another enlightened lefty who can't tell the difference between limited government and no government.
