How can so many people not mind picking up the slack for others?
That's great in Europe, but we are supposed to be The Land of Opportunity, where you can reach your dreams
by putting forth the effort.

Our forefathers are rolling in their graves since Americans (and illegal aliens) started sitting back and expecting something for nothing.
And that so many of the rest of Americans are just fine with that.

So embarassing.
If Obama was paying people's mortgages we would not have millions of foreclosures going on would we? The fact is the only people the government bails out are generally Republican businesses such as banks, Fannie, Freddie and GM. While people that work there might be Democrats and they benefit from keeping a job, the main people who benefit are the Republican CEOs and stock holders.

What about all of the lefties who talk the talk?
Most of that went to the Mormon Church. That doesn't count.

Proving again that among the (peseudo-)Liberals, it all depends on just who's expected to take up responsibility and foot the biil. They only talk aboui specifics when it suits their purposes.

And they're much more charitable with other peoples' money.

Seriously. It's like saying Mitt Romney is generous because he donated handsomely to the Mitt Romney Fund.

You don't like the fact that he contributed to the "wrong" charity. What narrow-minded statements.

You mean like taking the responsibility of fighting the battles of others?

Like we did in Vietnam, iraq, etc.?

Good question!

'Why DO we continue with such stupidity?

You would have the worlds leading super power sit by and watch atrocity under the guise of "it's not my problem?"

Disagreeing with Vietnam, Iraq et al is one thing. But are you seriously suggesting non-interventionism in all humanitarian situations?
