What a flight of fancy. That could never happen in a million years. Especially not in Ohio, Kansas, or Kentucky.

Especially Kentucky.

This guy was a d-bag, but christians are in no position to complain about this.
If you're a doctor or health care professional- you are that, a professional and take care of the patient to the best of your ability- personal feelings/conflicts shouldn't come into it. How you feel isn't part of the Hippocratic or caregiver's oath.

Our health care system has always been multicultural, AND the affordable care act has nothing to do with the religious beliefs, or the cultural ethnicity of the health care workers.

You at work? You don't pray unless it is in your head. No excuses. Especially in a health care environment. I hope that Muslim gets fired like he rightfully deserves. And may he pray to Allah for forgiveness for letting a woman die.

And YES, I would say the same if this was a Christian instead. Can you?
Don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.
What a great philosophy.

Maybe there should have been more than ONE nurse on-hand to help? And what took 4 hours, exactly? My grandmother is 95 years old and living in a Jewish Home Hospice (nursing home), with nurses of various religious/cultural backgrounds... and based on what I've seen there, she would NEVER be put in a position of waiting for one sole nurse. For goodness sakes, when I set off the "bed alarm" while sitting to talk with her, there were two nurses at my side within seconds.

So this sounds more like a case of general negligence, poor staffing, or simply a tragic accident - as opposed to a Muslim/religious issue. Would you call a Christian nurse negligent for taking Sundays off to attend church, or would you say there should be other nurses to cover while they were gone? And if the nurse was simply on a dinner break, would that be irresponsible too? Hmmmm.

Exactly... but the Christians & Catholics can't seem to get that through their heads, while they whine about Catholic hospitals being asked to offer full insurance coverage (for their employees), or performing abortions to save a woman's life. Interesting, huh?

Muslims screw up, guess what Christians do so also, interesting that the OP had to go to England to find something to point to.
Obamacare is nothing like what they have in England, FYI this is not a US story, so there is no connection except in the mind of some righties.
We already know that certain righties here are against multiculture societies, they would be far happier in a whites only club, and many of us would be happy if they would move to one ASAP.
awesome response

Race and religion have not a damn thing to do with this case, neglect does, and her praying to Allah seems much more important then the well being of a patient.
There is no excuse for this nonesense in a hospital or a clinic. All the praying in the world, is sure not helping her fellow mulim women, with the Muslim Men. They are not respected, and treated as if they are property.
My sister inlaw who is a fine nurse, would be so appaled by this nurse, there is no excuse for this, no matter what excuses anyone comes up with.
why do u cry for other women like you know every story of every man and woman!!! there are jerks in all societies...we are all one species!! and some men are men...and some women whine and everything in between
we need to let go of the ''us'' versus ''then''...we are all of one race and species scientfically

Nurse denies praying while pensioner lay stricken

He says he was just sitting on the mat, however he decides not to show up for the hearing? That speaks volumes, me thinks he's guilty. So, they just let people pray at work in the UK? I hope they don't let folks do that here. This getting old stuff looks like it's really going to suck.
