I think we are invoking Obama's name here incorrectly. The better comparsion would be the following: suppose there was a British activist, that advocated for the civil rights of Caucasian victims, done in by racial violence. If a case was made that way. For that matter, if someone on the order of David Duke or Tom Metzger began to clang the cymbals, stateside, advocating for the civil rights of the slain. (I believe Al Sharpton, incidentally, is every bit as discipicable as these individuals, but I guess MSNBC doesn't share my sentiments) My question thus becomes: what type of attribution does our mainstream media give the coverage? I am not blaming Obama in this case, but rather, I am very, very cynical about the media's role in publicizing incidents for their own fiscal benefit.

See, I believe that the lives of these two slain British tourists are every bit as virtuous as that of Trayvon Martin. The media, and those exploiting this tragedy in Sanford Florida don't seem to share my opinion.

Nope, we just call it as we see it.

Still waiting for that apology from GWB...

It really is a fascinating pathology of the left. No matter how unrelated it may be to the conversation it may be, they feel the need to invoke Bush. It is kind of like a political Tourette's.

Again you have been unable to mount a defense to the criticism of Obama, that he gets involved in issues only when they have a political advantage for him. Of course his inaction here is indefensible as is his inserting himself in a squabble between private citizens and an on going police investigation.

Or is President Obama going to claim that he is busier than a former Beatle?
Yeah I see what you mean. Obama clearly isn't too busy to intervene in a squabble between two citizens or involve himself in an ongoing police investigation. Surely he could respond to the family of a slain tourist. But I guess hanging with LMFAO does occupy a considerable amount of his time.

nooo, I'm commenting on the fact that this is apples and oranges, and this case is...get this...one year old. One Year.

But, you go right ahead and search for the most inane crap you can on the internet and post it here at will, then pi$$ and moan about how hypocritical the old meanies on the left are. When the "other side" evidences the same thing.

In other words, practice business as usual.

That's what happened. Bad move by the cops. Dumb move by the cops. No way around it.
Of course not. They saw a guy trying to get into a house without a key. I appeared to the cop this person was breaking into a house. When he asked the home owner for identification, the home owner refused. The cop did everything right, the professor was a confrontational jerk.
