Guy claims he was robbed by a guy in a hoody of his laptop and iPad.

Pasadena cops shoot the "suspect" dead after he reaches for something at his waistband.

Quote:
Caller Oscar Carrillo repeatedly told officers that two suspects were armed with handguns on Orange Grove Boulevard.

The phone call put officers on alert and led them to believe Kendrec McDade was armed when they saw him about two blocks from that location, Sanchez said.

'The actions of the 911 caller set the minds of the officers,' Sanchez said.

McDade ran from officers until an officer used the police cruiser to block McDade's path in an alley and rolled down his window, Lt. Phlunte Riddle said.
McDade allegedly made a motion at his waistband and the officer opened fire. A second officer who was chasing McDade on foot also opened fire, Riddle said.
Turns out nothing was stolen at all.

When false reports are made people can die. I can't blame the cops on this one.

Thug got what he deserved. 1. Ran from cops 2. Reached for something in waist as they tried blocking him in. Any NORMAL person would think gun and the cops did what was right. So kudos.

Actually, he didn't deserve to die because some stupid turd decides to call 911 with a false report.

He wouldn't have died if he had not run from the cops and then reached for something in his waist band while being asked to put his hands up. Give me a break.

Nice story but the fault lies with the guy that ran.

People should know better than to run from cops.

The guys asked him to buy them a taco and Oscar Carillo said no, those guys didn't steal anything, and one had to die for that? Why would he call the cops and make a false report? Over a taco?

There's no proof that this guy reached for something in his waistband. That's the classic police officer's CYOA's line when they shoot and kill an unarmed person.

And unfortunately, when a black man sees a cop, whether he's guilty of something or not, the response is sometimes to run. Nothing good ever comes from interacting with a police officer for some young black men.
