Well, the rest of the world doesn’t agree with you. So, the question is: Do we lead? - Do we follow? - Or do we step aside, while the rest of the world proceeds to do something positive? When this becomes a "real" crisis, you can damn well "believe" that the American public will take you, and your lot, and throw it into the trash.
Well golly gee, if science was a process of getting the most bobble heads to nod, I guess your mention would matter. Since it does not, well... I guess your comment is pointless.
It fits their world view that government intervention, thru the enactment of more dictatorial powers over the people, is the only answer to every perceived problem.
The mountain rumbles in disapproval, and they run out to grab a virgin to sacrifice to appease the angry fire god.
Yeah, they are certainly off their rocker.
Here is the thing. In religion, many realize they can not establish their belief through an evidential process, they know it resides in the faith based or similar position. Most wouldn't even attempt to try and defend it from an evidential position.
These folks though are just odd. See, if they simply just said they "believed" and didn't argue a position of "certainty", then most could respect their "belief". They however lie about it when the facts are right in front of their face.
It really makes them nothing more than devious idiot puppets who needs a string pull to turn on the lights.
I've often wondered who caused the runaway greenhouse effect on Venus.
Volcanoes most likely. Venus doesn't have life to balance out the C02 and other gases released from volcanic eruptions and other geological events. Unlike Earth, Venus can't balance out its gasses without life, so it cooks.
An “action pack” distributed by Global Campaign for Climate Action said members “shouldn’t be afraid to make the connection”, despite the sometimes low level of confidence in the official documents of the IPCC. The action pack, which was produced to coincide with the release of the latest full IPCC report into the link between climate change and extreme weather events, rekindled claims that overstating the case damaged the credibility of the science…
Political activism, nothing more. They tout the "science" when they think it supports them, but when it doesn't, they tell people to disregard it and continue on.
Greenpeace leaders have been quoted saying that it was acceptable to lie and distort the facts in favor of CAGW. So pathetic.
Frankly, I find their approach to be rather ignorant and devious. It is and will continue to work against them.
"Believe" is what you're forced to do in the absence of evidence.
