If you're past 65 years old and you need an organ transplant of any kind you shouldn't get it unless there are no younger candidates in need, also no 100s of thousand-millions$$$ worth of treatment for you unless you pay out of pocket. Seriously they should be given a big bag of heroin so they can live out their last days comfortably but don't burden society with extremely expensive end/near-end of life care and die like a man, with dignity.
Aren't you the 22 year old who started a thread in another forum on CD because you are worried about getting your sick dad's house when he dies?

What an utterly despicable point of view!

This point of view has a lot of company in the current, radical presidential administration, sadly. That's part of Obamacare which was established during a terrible Economy.

Rationing HAS to be part of BO care.

This, even from a cold and uncaring standpoint does not make sense--that no older person should get a transplant till unless there are no younger folks in need. REALLY?
Transplants are a matter of a good "match" so there would always! be youngsters in-need when an older person found a match...back to the drawing board with this horrible message here.

As Mr. Eastwood once said to a rattlesnake in the film Two Mules for Sister Sara; "Keep singin, partner."

This entire thread just serves as further proof that the coalition orchestrated from the White House will organize any potential follower, no matter how shallow and short-sighted, and demonize anyone who can be portrayed simplistically enough.

Just how much further do you think you can go before the moderate center wises up?

Some older people have very little and have to cope with that. The children they had some were of course the give ,me get me ,buy me children who required name brain clothes , sneakers and the best schools,of which many of the older generation made sacrifices for their children.. some children were thankful , some were not.

Obviously some would love to kill off the older ones because the younger generation wants more and more for themselves.
I know the boomers in particular have been innovative and hardworking. No argument there, and kudos for that.

But it is time to think about future generations with respect to our views on taxes and fiscal solvency. Cut only solutions only serve to dismantle the infrastructure and safety nets of our country. But as long as some wealthy person gets a tax cut, it seems like the TP supports it. That is spectacularly foolish over the long term. So is the "trickle down" bs we have tried since 1980. Our deficit has exploded and inequality along with it. And no one is going to turn this country into a socialist regime in your life time either, that is simple fear mongering. The libs have moved to the center since Clinton. People on the left are inviting sensible people into a discussion of our future, which necessarily means a mixed economy, investments in our government, and fiscal solvency attained through cutting and expiration of bogus subsidies and tax cuts (like the oil industry subsidy). The TP narratives of supporting unsustainable tax cuts and blaming the recession on the new guy are embarrassments for the older generation.

Bolded: Knock off the drama. No one wants to kill off the old folks, we just want them to act their age.

What makes you think they are selfish? What are they doing to screw the grand kids? I love old folks, I love to hear the stories of hardships that they lived through that you and me never had to, the times when they didn't even have indoor plumbing or air conditioning. They lived it and deserve respect and are worth any amount of money for medical care if they need it.
Everybody gets old Dickweed, you will be there someday.
