No, this isn't a gag. Look:

sarah palin co- host today show - Google Search

Apparently, NBC's plan is to try to counter-punch Katie Couric, who's filling in on CBS's Good Morning America next week.

Whether you love Sister Butthurt, or hate her narcissistic guts (like me ), does this make sense in any known universe?

No, there were already plenty of good reasons to not watch NBC any longer.

They will probably edit what she's got to say like they did the 911 tapes.

Never watch either one, see no reason to watch now.
Whatever happened to her being a commenter on Fox? She was supposed to have a million dollar deal. I'm glad she didn't show up, or I would have had to change the channel. Cannot stand this woman!

Don't most people have jobs during the time The Today Show is on, and are unable to watch it?

Personally I don't recall ever seeing it. Though I've heard that it's been on for a great many years.

Did they put it on weekday midmornings and give it that title, because "The Tonight Show" was already taken?

A case of if you can't beat 'em, then join 'em. Which one's doing the beating and which is doing the joining is anyone's opinion.
