Are you really that simple? You're the one reaching here.
The fact is that NO method of birth control is 100% effective so you are saying if you don't want a baby, don't have sex because pregnancy is always a possibility.
DUH! Of course I said that. What part of, "If you don't want a baby, don't do the deed" do you not understand?
What I did NOT say was, 'don't ever have sex'. Or that "sex was bad". If you think that you can't handle it, don't do it. If you go in to it knowing full well this could end up in a baby, and you prepare yourself for that, even if you would rather NOT, then by all means, go out there and toss your goods to the world.
Did you read those statistics? Who is having abortions?
Those are the facts. The majority of them are white girls under the age of 25. Only 1 percent are because of rape or incest. Let's do the math!
Yes I did, according to the sliding scale they had in place at the time. This was in Bellevue, WA, since you seem to want to know every flipping detail.
First pregnancy occurred during a marriage. Condom failure. No, my son was not planned, but we paid for not only the PP visits, but also the midwifery care that followed.
Son is now 25 years old.
Second pregnancy occurred as a result of OCP failure. I had left an abusive relationship and broke off an engagement. I came very close to choosing termination.
Daughter is now 18.
While I did use Medicaid for the 2nd pregnancy, it was reimbursed IN FULL when my ex-husband finally, in 2002, paid out the 10 years of back child support he'd withheld on purpose. He paid it directly to the State of Washington.
If you have more questions, I'll do my best to respond.
I don't know how it is in the rest of the country but yes, in Seattle, and Bellevue it seems, Planned Parenthood is not necessarily free to those girls. They make you pay based on how much you make so yes, whether they go in for abortions or whether they go in for their annual exam, chances are, they are paying for it.
Not as inconsistent as those on the left who suddenly feign concern for the life of women and children at a clinic where human fetuses are aborted for profit.

At the time I used their services, the only things that were 'free' were sex education and condoms.
Also, the Bellevue PP clinic did NOT provide abortion services.

Or when children younger than 5 years are bombed by aircraft and rockets of an organized military. Because they belonged to the wrong ethnic group or religion.

I wouldn't know, I've never gone in to one seeking an abortion.
My point was, no, you didn't get it for free as someone was implying you did and I was merely backing up your statement that you didn't because I did go to one in Seattle for the yearly thingie and no, that stuff ain't free.

I realize you didn't imply it, I simply added it for those posters who tend to assume that all PP offices DO provide abortion services.
Something else I wanted to add, one of my friends back then received very good initial counseling and referral to a specialist counselor after she was raped at age 23. To me, PP has been one of the best multi-service clinics around for women in this country.
