to be fair, Limbaugh was just doing his job as a shock jock. Thats why CBS had to pay Imus after firing, it was in his job description to be a douche

You think the Bush twins would have gotten anywhere on their own? Hell you think George Bush himself would be anything without Daddy?

I think this is a good example for the 'partisanship making us stupid' thread. Here's a ill-considered, and rather meaningless comment, apologized for, and twenty years later people are still discussing and dissecting it. Ah well I must admire all these Limbaugh critics, who apparently have NEVER made an ill-considered remark in their lives.

To be fair to the OP, he didn't dredge up Rush's 20 year old statement. He was just commenting on Chelsea finally addressing it (as an adult) all these years later. That report is a new event.

A new event? Is there some nuance and complexity to the 'dog' comment such that Chelsea's adult mind was required? Some new insight that the 13-yr-old Chelsea could not have supplied?

The "new event" meaning that she was recently participating in a discussion and the previous incident was brought up when discussing the Fluke incident.

Your previous post alluded to the fact that this was just being dredged up for no reason. The OP brought it up because of a recent discussion involving Chelsea Clinton on the whole matter. I agree that "we" don't need to keep dredging up Rush's past comments; however, if the subject matter of Fluke and Rush is being discussed and Chelsea Clinton happens to be there, it is totally appropriate for HER to bring it up. It would be relevent to that particular conversation.

Do you really think this is new from either party?

We can discuss the Kennedy family, the Gore family and I am sure if I tried real hard I could find other repubs.

I would think that by bring the other party into the equation I was showing that I know it happens on both sides.
