The problem is that conservatives have become overly apathetic and uninvolved in politics because, let's be honest here, our lives are far better and we enjoy a standard of living that is 20 times better than our forefathers.

If you don't believe me, all you have to do is take a quick glance back to the Jimmy Carter era, and see that when conservative voters actually participate, the response is overwhelming, as Ronald Reagan won 49 of the 50 states in a landslide election.

What must happen is that conservatives must do a couple things not just for this election, but for the indefinite future, which are:

1. Shed the "angry white male" stereotype that is blatantly false. MLK Jr. was a Republican, and he understood that the conservative philosophy involved working hard and earning your keep, and by doing do, you increase your position to help others in need.

2. Continue to elect conservative politicians who will do the work of "we the people" such as what happened in the November 2010 elections. Quit putting up establishment politicians who will say what you want to hear, only to continue with the status quo, and throwing us a bone now and then to keep our vote.

3. This should be #1 actually...STOP wasting time trying to convert die hard liberal progressives that we have a better way. We don't, at least in their eyes, and realize that what we need to do is get the actual hard working conservative people of this country involved back in politics. This is the hardest task we face. Remember this....in 2008 Obama won by roughly 10 million votes. However.....there were 30 million registered Republicans who DID NOT SHOW UP TO VOTE!

At the same time, Democrats voted in record numbers.

So while I'm sure their will be some liberals who will get their panties all in a wad over this thread, you must bear in mind that their way of thinking, no matter how hard they try to convince us otherwise, is not in the majority of how this country thinks, acts or was founded.

So leave the indoctinated Dems alone, you are wasting your time, and instead, get the conservative vote out. Do that, and you can win the House, the Senate and the Presidency with ease. Far easier said than done with the lackadaisical society we've become however.

It's a shame that we have to have bad leadership and a horrible economy just to get people to exercise their right to vote, but like I said, quit wasting your time on the brainwashed, and start working on the common man with common sense and get him off his rhetorical a$$ to go vote.

The bold red makes you come across as a brainwashed "angry white male".

What a conservative country, the right leaning party has put forth the man whose state had the first universal health care and legal gay marriage under his watch. Right wingers think there are more conservatives then there are because they live in right wing extremist Christian rural bubbles where being an atheist or gay is worse than being a pedophile and social attitudes aren't much changed from the 1800s

I was also gratified to discover that Martin Luther King Jr. was a Conservative. I had not known that.
Maybe the reason why King declined to participate in the Freedom Rides was because he thought they were a radical liberal idea. But the rides did work to finally do away with the Jim Crow laws.

You describe what life and attitudes must be like in the 15 Oklahoma counties who voted to defeat Obama last month in the Democrat primary for president.

I love Conservative America.

Pamela Anderson Carwash Spot by Sirius - YouTube

Yeah.

Two And A Half Men - Jenny McCarthy In Hot Bikini - YouTube

If you think Reagan won because Conservatives suddenly started voting, then enjoy that theory. Some might say it was the economy going to Hell and that little terrorist thing Jimmy had to deal with, you remember the
Iran hostage crisis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ?

The one that was 444 days long and ended 1 day after Reagan entered office? Yeah, but ...Conserbvative voters!

AHAHAHAHA .a.AHAHAHAH.ahAHHAAHAHHA

What can you do?

The Party establishment backs Romney.

I'm sure the Hillary voters can relate.

Not to mention that "interesting" and "convenient" double entendre of a signature to the original post.
