Of course it isn't irrelevent. It is our country that makes the best higher education in the world, available to the world. Europeans are simply not better educated than us.

America has more money available for research, and so many Europeans go to the US because their is money available. But money for research is not the same as quality education. It simply means more money.
The quality of education in the States is very low compared to what I see students studying here in Italy. Most Americans couldn't handle the curriculum here, imo. I saw kids at the U of MN graduate just because they played basketball. -Does that sound right to you??
