That part I always found much more baffling than the UHC debate It has funny implications in terms of logic

Also, it will NOT bring healthcare to everyone, just like now, some people do not want HC: 1) The are rich and do not need it or 2) some people just don't want it, because they are healthy.

Why is that so hard to believe?

BTW, your 40 million number, does that include illegals....please provide some stats to back up your claim...
Number of people without health insurance in U.S. climbs - Sep. 13, 2011

50 million Americans do not have health insurance. Subtract 10 million for your illegal immigrants and you have 40 million Americans without some form of health insurance.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!! We also need Universal Country Club Memberships (UCCM). Free for all Americans! And an unlimited supply of PROv1 golf balls!

That way we can leapfrog the Europeans on their road to total government control and the supreme nanny state.

Go out and convince the American people, that the same folks who bring them the DMV are the perfect folks to provide them healthcare!
I certainly care about the constitution. I also recognize that any written document can undergo changes or be reinterpreted in different ways as society changes.

And what exactly is the problem with the DMV? I have never had a bad experience at the DMV. You go there, wait in line, and then take care of whatever business needs to be done. Heck, every ticket I have received I can pay online. The DMV here in Hillsborough county I find to be very well run.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, you are not being honest. Now go back and let us know haw many folks intentionally do not have insurance because they do not wish to purchase it.

Oh my God. I sometimes can't understand you people and the metaphors you use. How in the hell can you compare a country club membership to access to healthcare?

I swear, I wonder what isolated boxes you people must live in sometimes.

Lol, the constitution says what it says. We also have the Federalist papers to help understand intent. It isn't some obscure parable laden track. You want the interpretation to be something other than what it says.

If you think the DMV is a swell organization, then make your case to the American people. The reality is, the left is trying to accomplish something, through the courts, that they could never accomplish via the electorate. A single payer system.
