Whitney Houston's Performing Arts School in Newark, NJ, was expecting more money from the singer's death.

The school only received about 40K from the singer's death. Apparently, people are reluctant to donate to a public school, especially in NJ, because they are afraid it will go down into the public money monster pit and disappear forever. It's sad that public trust is so low that people won't even give money to a public school.
