Put down the medical marijuana pipe, LA Times. Just wait until Memorial Day followed by school clothes shopping day.

"Gas prices have soared about 15% in the last six months, hitting $3.94 a gallon on average nationwide, and $4.29 in California. The mood of motorists? Meh."

Higher gas prices cause less public anger this time - latimes.com

Check out the photo choice with the above article. What they couldn't take a photo of an LA guy or gal at the gas pump? They had to scrounge around for a photo of "some guy" in Chicago?

Hey, maybe they are less worried about gas prices because they don't have jobs to commute to.

"California's unemployment rate will remain elevated for the next couple of years, according to a new UCLA forecast, and in some parts of the state won't return to pre-recession levels until 2016."

An election year?

California unemployment predicted to stay high until 2016 - Los Angeles Times

Hey, take a look at the ad on this page of the paper right in the middle of the unemployment article above:

"Help Barack Obama keep our economy growing. Join the campaign now."

And if you read this article in the LA Times, not only is everyone okay with $4.29 gas prices but everything is lollipos and rainbows with 10.9% unemployment rate there, too.

California unemployment rate holds steady as more people seek jobs - latimes.com

Nice looking, well-dressed young man.

(Probably too well-dressed for L.A. Maybe he's on his way to church.)

Propaganda machine up and running.

New era of imaginary reality underway and launched with a notable nobel peace prize and transparency award.

History is being rewritten as we watch.

That is because morons live in L.A. County.
Well in O.C. we do care about gas prices, although depending on where you go for gas, it is not that high around 3.70 for gas at some stations, which is high but not as high as L.A. County.

And everyone i know does care. They work and commute, and are not happy with the high gas prices.

Must be the air in L.A. County. Prices are expected to go up, but keeping it real my realitives who live in the E.C. are screaming they already hit almost $4.00 a gallon.

And if these morons feel that Obama is helping our economy, then they are smoking something very strong. They are talking out of their butts.

Can you believe the photo they picked to go with the "What, me worry?" story? They couldn't find a single gas pumper in the whole state of California? Propaganda is right per kracer...and it's so overt.

I don't know anyone who isn't upset with the high price of gas these days aside from those who don't drive. Gas here is averaging $4.35/gallon, which is down from $4.59 a week or two ago. Still, way to high for anyone's liking.

(Thankfully!!!) it's a sign that more people are getting just enough knowledge of basic economics to understand that there are such things (not just vague "concepts") as supply and demand. Even the clowns in Washington are trying to rein in the point-and-grunt crowd at the back of the hall, because they're beginning to realize that that blind tantrum just might be directed at them next time around.

Talking points for both Obama and Hillary campaignes were those high gas prices under Bush @$1.90, and how they'd be able to lower them. Three + years later and all we've heard is how "there's no magic way to lower gas prices", as it has more than doubled (along with ouir debt.) Obama has the nerve to take credit for the increase in oil production on private lands, while federal land permits have all but dried up. Ironic, we have an oil boon because of Bush in spite of Obummer, and he's taking credit for it .

BTW, the government is artificially forcing prices higher to reverse Chinas' manufacturing dominance. It's much the same as artificially lowering prices in the eighties to bankrupt Russia. Remember $0.85 gas?
