I simply don't think the level of trust is their in American families in general. Folks would have a hard time sacrificing for a store for a payoff that may come down the line.

I've had business ideas involving a lot of poor people pooling small amounts of money, and discovered formidable legal obstacles including the SEC. That's a government obstacle, not a people obstacle.

Sorry, I can't stand the yelling. If she wasn't fricken yelling the 3 minutes I did watch, I might have understood what she was saying.

The only part that I did gather was she wanted water...I guess? And they wanted her to pay for it? And that she felt she had the right to free water cause her grandmother was a slave but the people she was yelling at were from Africa...dude, wth!

But all the yelling...why all the damn yelling?

What must be truly devastating is seeing AFRICAN immigrants coming to the U.S. and leapfrogging them.

That kinda destroys the racism argument.

It is all about ethnic unity and hard, hard work.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn certainly doesn't hurt either.

Can somebody explain why Oprah or Magic Johnson aren't seen as the obvious role models they are regarding business?

It is like people like that don't exist in the screaming lady's world.

So many examples of African-American success and SOME not ALL blacks STILL complain that they can't get ahead because of racism.
