Do you ever notice how conservatives have been trained to disagree with both of those statements? How poor conservatives will argue in favor of tax breaks for billionaires, and use the most absurd of reasoning (a peculiar mixture of blood-lust, ignorance and xenophobia) to justify the United States throwing away trillions on wars that make absolutely no sense? (the invasion and occupation of Iraq for phantom weapons of mass destruction and whatever the hell we are fighting in Afghanistan for)

This is what the Occupy movement speaks out against, and it goes against the core principles of conservative training.

Such is the conflict between having a small government and effectively policing the world. They are mutually exclusive. I'm all for sticking up for the little guy, but if it means putting our country trillions of dollars in the red like Bush II did, then it's absolutely not worth it IMO.

That solution would probably end up killing millions as the rest of the world unites to stand their ground against an America gone mad,all the while millions starve to death in America itself while the pompous upper elite wonder why every one just doesnt go out and get non existent jobs.

The reason we are in debt is the tax cutting itself. Need to put that tool back in the shed for a while. That, and the sabers we like to rattle all the time.

Actually, there is a good economic practice. If you want to reduce something just tax it. So if you keep taxing the so called "rich" there will be fewer of them and less money going into the government. That would be a bad thing. Now our goal is and has always been to reduce poverty and the poor. So we need to tax the poor much more and it will reduce their numbers.

Lefties fail to realize the following.....

1) EVERYONE can qualify for 15% tax rate on capital gains.

2) The rich pay the lions share of all taxes...property, sales, federal, etc....

3) There are rich lefties....they TALK about paying more, but when given the opportunity, they take a pass.

Atlas WILL shrug some day.
