Thus it's okay to discriminate against ALL black people, based on the problems at a few other bars? We have lots of fights in "biker bars" (sometimes even ending in homicide) around here, so should it be understandable to turn away anyone with a Harley jacket?
And as I already mentioned, I've been to "black bars" in my area more than once... I survived just fine.
Many bars refuse to let bikers in if they are wearing any of their gang clothing or "colors".
Dude, there is only ONE version of street smart. Not two, or three. One. It's instinctual...and either you have it or you don't. It's not something you just pick up once you become an adult. It's a combination of having common sense along with absorbing the things other people with street sense tell you, watching mistakes other people make, and being able to spot trouble long before it jumps off....and knowing how to react to it. It's also being aware of your environment, without being scared of it.
If it aint what i delineated above, then call it something else...but it's not street smarts.
I have always heard it refered to as ''street smart''
You try and play a rose is still a rose by any other name. Notice I did not label Dem or repub because those are just names and you know it. I mean no matter their label at the moment in history it is always the same type of people. Today those people are called GOP/Tea party. Back then they would have been Dixiecrats. In the future they may be Dixiecrats again but it doesn't matter the thinking and intent are the same. Thank God though you keep losing. 1865 1965 2008 2012............

I live not very far from where this bar is up in Louisville and have family that works at Ft. Knox, KY. Soliders of color at Ft. Knox are expressly told by their officers and other people on base not to go into certain areas of Kentucky because of racial trouble. Sad that that is necessary in 2012.
Video footage of black customers being the victims of blatant racism in 2012. But of course let the Right Wing tell it, racism died out in mid 60's with the passing of the Civil Rights Acts

It's not really necessary. Black folks know where to go and not to go. It's rare that a black dude is gonna try to get into somewhere that he's not welcome anyway. Especially in a place like Kentucky.
I used to get the same briefing in Ft. Benning, Ga. For what, i don't know. I always had enough wits about me to know where i was at all times. I rarely if ever had any trouble, and most white people down there were cool anyway. Even if they're flat out racist, they'd at least extend common courtesy.

My post was clear. I'm tired of todays GOP trying to claim the past republicans glory. They would have not been a part of that party then and they know it.
