Only white people are capable of hate crimes. But happily, if one is Jewish or Hispanic, if the situation calls for it, one can be considered "white". Example: George Zimmerman. According the the New York Times, he's a "white" hispanic. If he had been assaulted by a white however, the media would call him a "person of color".
Since George Zimmerman is Jewish; is he capable of a "Hate Crime"?
Who said he is Jewish? He is not Jewish. So this thread should be closed because it is based on a lie. His father is White and his mother is Latina and he was raised Catholic.
Talk about stereotyping - why? because his last name ends in "man?"
Yes, of course anyone can commit a hate crime. All murders are full of hate. I don't even like using the term "hate crime" since it doesn't matter to me if someone kills me because I'm White, Black, Jewish or Muslim. If someone murders, it certainly isn't because he loved the victim. This is why I dislike the charge of "Domestic Violence." Zimmerman was arrested of domestic violence, but I guess since there was a woman involved who was his wife or girlfriend, she doesn't count. The term "date rape" is also very offensive. If a woman is violated on a date it doesn't make the crime any less heinous.
