Yeah, being responsible is bad! What's next? Not blindly going to war for no reason?

Of all things, one would think that improving our military's fighting capabilities and improving our national security would be pretty non-controversial.
Do "green" bullets fly farther? What is funny is you lefty's vilify the military and costs at every turn but when you throw together "green" and "tank" you slobber over it like a 16yo at a brothel.

Its a good idea... I rather the military focuses on solar panel efficiency than on how to build a bigger bomb or faster jet that carry bigger bombs...

What is funny is the simply mindedness of you and your ilk. You just do not get it do you. If our world was filled with people like you we would still be in the stone age.

Get out of the way.

Solar panels on the top of the tank turrets may give away their position.

The military does cost too much. It's grossly excessive.

But we do need a strong national defense, and part of that is figuring out how to defend ourselves without relying on materials from countries that hate us, and without having to rely so heavily on supply routes through countries that are insecure and filled with people who want us dead. What exactly is controversial about that?

I guess soon we'll need those "green tanks" to go fight for the rare earth elements to keep em green too but as long as they're green and the environment is safe who cares how we get the "good stuff" right?
There's actually quite a lot of effort going in to developing solar and battery technology that uses materials that are plentiful within the US, specifically so that we don't have to rely on foreign sources.
