There is also no "gay sex fest" in SF as the OP claims, so you guys might wanna stop lying if you want to be taken seriously. And yes, even we have our limitations on what is allowed or not allowed within our cities... or did you think this whole place was just one big ongoing display of debauchery? That would be fun, I admit, but sadly it's not true on a typical day. Has anyone posting here even been to SF??
San Francisco fest features public sex with no arrests
I didn't even have to click on the link, and I already knew you were going to cite "Up Your Alley" - and the fact that I immediately knew the event to which you were referring, should tell you it's not exactly a common occurrence. Now, would you like me to share some stories about Mardi Gras, so we can talk about how deviant the south is?
Yeah, especially since you can go on you tube and google it and come up with probably 100,000 videos, amny of which are high school and college girls.... far too mainstream now
Time for them to move on, it isn't even attractive either
It is impressive, though, when they pole dance REALLY well... I was amazed at some of the feats I saw the Hustler girls doing!
Even more impressive when a man does it - this guy is awesome.
Ok now, thanks for making me laugh. However SF is not boring at all. Have a gay male friend, and SF is not boring in the least, that's all i'm going to say, and more liberal then some cities.
A little different then other cities.
ITA! I was saying it wasn't boring, as the other poster claimed it was. How anyone could be bored in San Francisco is beyond me.

However what do you make of Men who pole-dance they are out there, that must be a sight to behold!
Just posted a link of Steven Retchless from America's Got Talent above, but here's another one of him... color me impressed, since I'm a woman & former figure skater who couldn't even ATTEMPT those moves. I think it's pretty cool, but I'm the type who feels you should do whatever makes you happy (as long as nobody else is getting hurt). Live and let live, ya know?
They have people walking around in the nude in SF?!
Uhhhh, no... LOL. As I said in my other posts, they're just exaggerating and/or lying out their teeth. We have no more public nudity than any other town, unless maybe you're at Baker Beach on a nice day. Pride is also a bit more "loose" in terms of clothing, but even then you won't see much (if any) full nudity.

If so, that's disgusting and repulsive not to mention sick.
Why do you find the human body so disgusting? Were you raised Catholic, by any chance?
Quote:
How is that even legal and how are they getting away with that?
Nudity is legal in most cities, if you actually read the laws... public indecency is not legal, but there is a fine line between the two. Basically, you're allowed to be naked until somebody complains.

What if a child were to see them?
Children aren't as horrified by nudity as adults, so it's more likely YOU would be the one screaming in terror - not a child, who probably wouldn't think much of it. We aren't born thinking of the human body as "dirty," some people are only conditioned to feel that way.
This is all hypothetical, of course, since you really won't see naked people running around in San Francisco. Might be cool if that were true, but in reality it is NOT. You should take a trip out here some time, as you might like our beautiful city.
SF is just as much a feminist stronghold as it is a gay stronghold, and radical feminists don't like the idea of female sex workers. they will do anything to shut the industry down.
Radical feminists have a great deal in common with fundamentalist Christians when it comes to the sex industry, and they have even worked together to fight porn and strip clubs.
