.... and unions were busted!!!

Yes, it has all been done in our history.

Mr. Progressive didn't like it, that is for sure!

Guess what the result was, when we got government out of our lives and out of our pockets?

No wonder the Progressives want to eliminate parts of our history from the books our children read.

Well if I was picking an example of what can happen when you reverse liberalism I would pick the Presidencies of Harding and Coolidge.

Reagan is the greatest conservative in modern times, but the shift from Carter to Reagan wasn't as stark as Wilson to Harding, and when Harding died in office Coolidge carried on in the same manner. And soon after that you have FDR to show the failure of going back to liberalism again.

Not sure if that's what the OP is referring to, but that would be my choice.

I ask you this...

When was the last time the size of our federal government was cut, by our own federal government?

When was the last time, the unions were busted down to size, because they were getting out of control?

I guess my statement has happened sooner than I thought,

""No wonder the Progressives want to eliminate parts of our history from the books our children read. ""

Seems you didn't get the memo either???

If it is, then the answer to BentBow's question "Guess what the result was, when we got government out of our lives and out of our pockets?" would have to be...

The Great Depression.

No, those things actually pulled us out of a economic depression.
and to boot, it was the fastest recovery in our nations history.

The progressives got re-elected and doubled down! Taking personal freedoms and granting rights, for a fee, while raising taxes to pay for the bloating government.

Causing total collapse and the socially engineered great depression, that you speak of.
