The fact that you're getting eaten alive here along with your Californian friend should be telling you something.......

Did I mention that there are wars, famine, and economic problems occurring at the same moment you are whining and focusing on a funny piece of art that you are completely oblivious to?

Racism is a relevant issue, but perhaps you can bring up a case that actually illustrates it rather than, well...... this? I've already asked several of my black friends and other minorities about this and showed them the pictures.

None of them think it's racist.

Weird, horrific, absurd. Perhaps.

Just don't ever see a movie that's rated anything above PG. You might be offended and get an aneurism.

Well, that settles it then. You asked a few Black people their opinion so they have spoken for "the tribe", right?

Being "right" does not always come with an avalanche of support from the majority. And by your "definition", the Civil Rights movement and the Women's Sufferage movement were also incorrect.

Oh my.

I'm done. This is beyond ridiculous, and I'm extremely liberal here. Although I do have common sense.

Perhaps your point about offending a small "minority" of people goes against your own views on free expression. Think about it. Where would art and even science be today with this mentality? I'm glad this thread is being laughed at by all but two people.

Btw- you compare this to the Civil Rights movement and Women's Sufferage? How old are you?

Good luck with all of your endeavors. Press 3 for the ignore button.

It is offensive on a level that I do not expect to you to relate to or understand. We will have to agree to disagree. 'Tis all.

ETA: I would never discuss a topic like this with my White (or non-Black) friends IRL because I know that they would never "get it."

I LOVE the hypocrisy of the left.

A crucifix in a jar of urine at an "art" exhibit, a statue of our Blessed Mother inside a vagina, a picture or statue of Jesus smeared with elephant dung are all called "art".

We're told by the left to "suck it up....it's "art"!

Guess what?

Suck it up!

It's "art"!

Funny how the left wouldn't DARE use a symbol of islam for their "art"!

And why would they?

Again, you know.
Right. No doubt that had it been you making that cake, I would draw another conclusion. But look at your track record. So I would be justified in making such an accusation in your case.
