If a republican President did this the liberals and the republicans would be storming the White House ...

And last but not least ... if you think Obama is not going to throw up road blocks to stop production then you must also believe in Peter Pan and Santa Clause

News flash: Congress delegated the power to regulate this area to the EPA. If you think that Congress debates every regulation, you have been asleep for 100 years.

It was a Republican President that created the EPA.

They are indeed astoundingly uninformed about how government works and established precedent.

Is that your sorry excuse for defending the President using executive order to regulate this industry?
It will be fun to watch the liberals whine and cry when Romney gets in and he bypasses congress for all his actions and brings in more Czars than Obama. First order of buisness ... terminate Obama care. Second ... full investigation into all actions by Obama and liberals and start the trials for treason.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or sometimes USEPA) is an agency of the federal government of the United States charged with protecting human health and the environment, by writing and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress.

So, what are you saying? That Congress writes every single, solitary regulation? I hope you're not saying that because you would be dreadfully wrong.

In the right-wing alternate universe, Obama is the only president to use regulatory power and Congress never passed the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, nor any other law giving the executive branch wide regulatory power.

In the real universe, Obama has regulated less than his predecessor at the same point in his admin.

No matter, facts are lost on the right-wing, who want to live in their make-believe universe.

It's clear that so many of the now angry right-wing never paid attention in HS government class and just woke up on Jan. 20th, 2009, to a world that they largely don't understand.

This is a flat out lie. List the executive orders that George Bush issued to regulate production of natural resources.

Bush was in office 8 years and only issued 63 EO's. Obama is just over three years (less than half) and has already issued 50 EO's.

Really ... you have not provided any facts ... just lies ...

Please ... give us the facts ...

There is a huge glut in the natural gas supply at this point in time. We have way more gas than we are using and the prices are at rock bottom. You would think the industry themselves would stop the fracking. It's not profitable at all. We don't allow any fracking in this province because we know for 100% sure it pollutes the ground water horribly and causes other well documented geologic problems. Now, if you want them shaking up your house and polluting your water and environment for gas that is surlus to needs then, Go ahead, make my day but don't do it in my neck of the woods!!!
