My point was, Fox News has been doing what you think might happen. Are you still not getting it?

But really, why do you think money is speech, and buying politicians and policies is constitutional? THAT is the issue.

Ignoring that it would not touch the free speech rights of people, it is an amendment. If it didn't change the Constitution, it would be pointless.

Amending the Constitution is a necessity after the terrible supreme court ruling that basically said corporations are people too and gave them the same rights as citizens of the U.S. The Citizens United case involved a law enacted by both Republicans and Democrats and the activist members on the Supreme Court overturned it. The only way to over rule the Supreme Court is to amend the Constitution. Why are people criticizing this?.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
so where in this amendment does it say that corporations have no right to free speech? remember that corporations are run by PEOPLE, and it is the PEOPLE of the corporation that donate money to political causes.
