So what if he did? He was wrong for doing so, but don't give me that crap about how some "super patriot" like Ted Nugent should be forgiven for such behavior...especially when he's actually proud enough of his actions to brag about it. If he had balls, why not simply do like Muhammad Ali and say you won't go and risk going to jail for your beliefs?
The whole matter for Nugent is worse because he actually SUPPORTED the Vietnam War! Typical Conservative Chickenhawkery. "War is good, just don't ask me to serve in it."
And to make matters worse, in order to show solidarity with Nugent, conservatives are saying what a waste Vietnam was. But just yesterday, they all believed that the war was the righteous thing to be involved in. Wonder why they're having the temporary change of heart.
I don't support the rhetoric which Nugent used and think he is a poor representative of the Obama opposition, but his views of the president are spot on.
But he's not as despicable as Clinton was, by leading anti-war demonstrations in a foreign country while US troops were fighting to contain communism. Of course I realize many of you would've favored capitulation to the Soviet Union, but that's neitherr here nor there.
Obama is a lying failure, but that doesn't mean I'm going to vote for a republican, especially one like Romney.
ok, we know what your definition of "draft dodger" is but you skipped my second question:
how do you define an able body and eligible man who spends a month on a complex scheme to deceive the draft board into believing he's unable to serve?
The draft board could have easily sent him to a shower. The gave him y-1 .
He avoided the draft but the term draft dodger is a term assigned to those who legally never showed up to selective service. Did he avoid getting drafted , yes , was he a draft dodger who broke the law, no,
High times is a magazine for pot smokers . IMHO he was as high as a kite in that interview.
A draft dodger is someone who went to Canada or skipped the country not someone who showed up at a draft board.
A draft dodger could be charged with a crime and were charged with crime .
Nugent as not charged with a crime. Therefore it is incorrect to name him as a draft dodger.
Nugent went to extremes, disgusting extremes, to avoid military service. Don't call it draft dodging if that makes you feel better about being his follower. But the truth about that creepy hypocrite is what it is. There's no avoiding it.

People think he is brilliant or insane.
One thing he can play a guitar better than anyone I have seen since Stevey Ray Vaugn
