FACT: No other governor in the U.S. ever had (past tense) an approval rating of 86%.
She was SAVING the state millions & got a 30 BILLION rebate from the Oil companies - "stupid people have that habit".
She was doing a great job - then McCain mentioned her name; every creep came out of the wood work in Alaska; 18 FRIVOLOUS LAW SUITS were filed on her. COSTING THE STATE millions of dollars in unecessary expenses.
She COULD NOT DO HER JOB.. always being in court DEFENDING HERSELF.
She was smart - She quit!!

The Sarah Palin quitter meme is right up there with 'Bush lied about WMD' on the idiocy scale. Given the overall legal and political situation, it was perfectly reasonable for her to resign.
Back on topic, what bothers me is not so much the prostitutes but the fact that these secret service agents were out there boozing it up, buying bottles of Absolute Vodka. Maybe they were off-duty but if an emergency came up wouldn't they be expected to be on-duty at the drop of a hat? They're supposed to be responsible for protectiing the POTUS in a foreign land. Unless they had a couple of certain days off to recover from the hangover they should not have been out drinking.

I suspect there was a little more to it. Remember the Bush/Pelosi stimulus check that was sent out? It did not earn Bush much love. He finished with approval in the 20's. I doubt that it earned Pelosi much love either, as her party was summarily shown the door in 2010.
Palin had good approval ratings as has her hand-picked successor Sean Parnell. If she is so rotten, how is it that she got such a good candidate to succeed her?
