People don't need to police possession that do not belong to them. If you are worried that someone is breaking into an empty house, call the police. Of course in this situation in Georgia, this obviously still would have landed these new home buyers in jail, but at least people would have acted judiciously and as if lives actually matter.

Default Two Good 'ole boys held interracial couple at gunpoint. The idiots didn't know they recently bought the home.

And what made it worse, because they didn't have proof on them, the cops arrests them. Thank goodness, these gun nuts didn't have itchy trigger fingers or it would have been very bad.

Newton County neighbors charged after home buyers' arrests

By Christian Boone

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A Newton County man and his son who authorities said held a gun on the new owners of a neighboring home were arrested Monday night and charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and criminal trespass.

Porterdale resident Robert Canoles said he has no second thoughts about interrupting what he thought was a robbery in progress Thursday night at his neighbor's house -- though he is now facing criminal charges just days after deputies lauded his armed response.

Default So here's an interesting hypothetical question...

If Arkansas had been a "Stand your ground" state and the Kalonjis had been armed, wouldn't they have been well within their rights to blow away the wannabe local heroes?

This is some crazy sh**. These two idiots have some nerve to think anyone has to explain themselves to them. They know dam well there isn’t too many 57/61 year old burglaries running around. These fools need to be locked up. I honestly wish I would run into people like this…

Sure, if they "felt threatened" by them. Why not??

"Two watchmen" huh? Make an example out of them, then go after the Newton County Sheriff's Department for their actions. This crap has got to stop.

You never know. Nobody really knows the whole story of the situation. The couple probably looked extremely suspicious. They didn't have proof of house ownership with them and they were messing about with the locks on an empty house.
